5.0 out of 5 stars. Sturdy BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bill from TN on Thursday, June 25, 2020Good-looking and comfortable, seem well-made. But they ought to come with round rather than flat laces, which would make the speed-lacing system work better. I haven't taken a long hike with them yet.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Not Worth ItReviewed by Tom Morrissey from Minnesota on Wednesday, June 10, 2020Within a month the metal speed laces starting bending and eventually broke off, leaving me unable to snug the boots up comfortably. The front rubber toe bumper began working its way lose from the leather on both boots. The sole is also wearing more quickly than most I've had. It appears durability is an issue. I've had numerous pairs of Hi-Tecs and will assume (hopefully) this is just a one off problem

2.0 out of 5 stars. HI-Tec v1 hiking bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Ohio on Saturday, July 27, 2019These shoes were bigger than the last pair that I got from JC Pennys . Iused the same stock number and size and they came back bigger than older ones. I'm glad I use Orothotics ,because if I did't they would have been much to big for me to ware.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Failed on first useVerified Buyer Reviewed by Betsy from Illinois on Monday, May 20, 2019These boots are terrible. My son wore them last weekend on a boy scout trip. The hooks bent open the first time he tied them so that he could not tie them at all above the ankle. Complete waste of money.
