Very well made pants! not full length zips...Verified Buyer Reviewed by Imtaragar from California on Saturday, February 16, 2019I was so sad when I unpackaged these pants to find that the full-length side zip is really 15/16ths length side zip. I am gearing up for some mountaineering trips requiring crampons and these were going to be my hardshells. One unanimous recommendation by all the guides I spoke with was full-zip off hardshell pants to put on without removing boots/crampons. Sadly, although the descriptions states full-zip off, these do not go all the way through the waistband.
If I didn't have this requirement, I would have been very excited (and still am tbh) about these pants. Rather than returning them, I found a friend who needed rain pants and he saw them and purchased them from me. He was so stoked after using them once, he came back to STP and found the matching jacket and purchased it two days later. Very nice products. -

That said the quality seemed high with a smooth finish. If you don't need full zip off, these would be a great option. -

They were slightly lighter weight than my previous pair, but block wind and moisture 100%. I wore three layers underneath easily with the L size, I'm 6'1", 195lbs.
