3.0 out of 5 stars. Missed the mark!Reviewed by Anonymous from Salt Lake City on Friday, June 6, 2014I bought my first pair of Romika boots two years ago - Romika Citylight 27 boots in brown suede (don't think they make the suede anymore, too bad). They have been my favorite all around boots of all time. Cute, classy, durable, and outrageously comfortable. I now want a black pair. However, I can't find them anywhere in my size, 41 in that style, or 9.5 US. I thought this Lyon style would fit the bill, especially because I wanted the smooth black leather. The photo looks good. However, when they arrived, there was something off right away. Looking down on the topsides, I could tell the left boot looked wider than the right boot. I compared, measured, examined the leather and shading to make sure they matched. Everything seemed okay otherwise. When I put them on, sure enough, the left boot is too tight across the top and front and toes space is too short. The right boot fits and feels perfect. I don't know if it was a mismatched pair of 9.5's or if somebody wore the right boot for a while and stretched it out (doesn't appear to be the case, though). I will be returning them - there is too much discrepancy and I'll end up in left foot agony if I try to wear them. One other point, I do have very thin legs and ankles and such is the reason I usually buy ankle boots. Boot calves are always too huge unless there is an elastic panel. As you can see, the Lyon boot flares out at the top - ridiculously for me. They look great under pant legs but I couldn't wear them with a skirt or with pants tucked in. Hopefully, others will have better luck. They may be perfect for someone with average or thicker ankles. I like the way Romikas are built and I like the somewhat pixey-look of their boots. Maybe it's because I'm 59 and they look youthful and fun - no staid or boring looks for my age. I am not giving up on my search for the Citylight 27 blacks in 41. I'll wait as long as it takes. In the meantime, the Lyon boot will be quickly forgotten.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfy & cuteVerified Buyer Reviewed by DonnaRee214 from SW IL on Wednesday, May 21, 2014The sizing was spot-on.
I bought these in black.
Other reviewers have commented on the opening being too wide, but when I have them on, there's only 1 inch in the front and 1 inch in the back that's open. I don't think that's too wide, and I have skinny legs.
I believe these are all leather, but they're coated so you can get them wet and not damage the shoe. It wasn't what I was hoping for as it dulls the shine, so I'm still deciding if I'm keeping these or not.
The buckle gives them a bit of an edgy look. A plus in my book.
Only one problem I've had - the zipper usually sticks at the half way point. A bit of an annoyance, but it does eventually work. -
2.0 out of 5 stars. Top of Boot very wideReviewed by utahmiller from utah on Monday, January 13, 2014Best guess is this is a boot for specialty shops catering to full figured women. Very wide through the ankle and the top of the boot. Perfect for someone who can never find a regular boot to fit

5.0 out of 5 stars. Boots are great...Reviewed by Anonymous from Idaho on Saturday, December 21, 2013My mother found these boots at a store near her hometown and desperately wanted them, but they were too expensive. She reluctantly left them behind and I found them here for a MUCH better price! So I got them for her as a gift. Item was shipped and the boots are great except one thing... though the packaging and receipt says "BROWN" the boots arrived in BLACK. She's still deciding whether to keep the black or return for the desired brown. The problem is even though she really, really would prefer brown, they are so awesome she's wants to wear them immediately and not wait for them to be traded out.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great comfortable bootsReviewed by Karen from New Mexico on Thursday, December 19, 2013I wore these boots right out of the box all day and they were extremely comfortable. The boot is quality soft leather, true to size, and great looking.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love!Reviewed by Sunshine from Arkansas on Monday, December 16, 2013I love these boots! They where a perfect fit from the beginning, very comfortable and no rubbing. I've never purchased this brand before so I took into consideration what other reviews had said about sizing. I wear a 6 in sandals / dress shoes and a 7 in most hiking boots / tennis shoes. I choose the 61/2 and they fit great with a dress sock or a little heavier smart-wool type sock. The style is perfect for dressy or casual wear, over all a awesome buy!

3.0 out of 5 stars. Uncomfortable boots, and I wasted $18.00 in shipping to find out.Reviewed by Anonymous from Florida on Sunday, December 15, 2013These boots hit into my shins front and back when I walked. The toe box is low and pressed on my toes. Also not enough support in the arch. For a comfort boot I found them to be uncomfortable. Plus the style made my feet look even bigger than they are. I sent them back. So, $10.95 shipping out, $6.95 shipping back, almost $18.00 to have no boots.

4.0 out of 5 stars. nice bootsReviewed by Anonymous from Pennsylvania on Monday, December 9, 2013These are good, warm and dry boots for wearing to work in the winter. I usually wear a size 7, so I got a 38, and they are large enough that I can put my inserts in and still wear thick socks. The heel is a little higher than I generally wear, but they are still comfortable.
