I had my first pair for over 4 years and they still look, feel, and preform like they're brand new. The only reason I needed a new pair is because I had a baby and I needed a bigger size. I love the more fitted look, they hug me in all the right places, and look very flattering. I wear them with a pair of leggings and stay very warm in any conditions, including the big blizzards we get in Colorado (I'm almost always cold and used to have to wear several layers of clothing and jackets and even then I was chilly after a few hours) !!
Once I discovered Phenix I've always felt plenty warm. I now have 2 pairs of ski pants, 5 jackets (soft shell, puffys, and two ski coats) and a vest. My husband also has two pants (one in neon green and one black), and 6 jackets. My husband skis hard and doesn't take it easy on his outerwear but everything still looks new! I'd be surprised if we ever went to another brand, we absolutely love Phenix! We also have Phenix long johns and a few sweaters and layering pieces. -

They did that weird gap thing around the crotch (but fit around the waist), and just felt cheap. Admittedly I have really high standards.
