3.0 out of 5 stars. Unbeatable priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Steve from On the road on Wednesday, December 5, 2018These pants are exactly what I need and blow the price point away. I almost never wear waterproof pants unless I am wearing my outrageously expensive, life saving, windproof waterproof mountaineering pants. I tend to find it easier to dry out after the rain or in camp and while I am moving I won't be risking hypothermia.
That said, I needed something cheap for emergencies and around town and these fit the bill. Packs up tiny, way light, easily goes on over other layers.
The downside I can see is that they have entry slots so you can get your hand into your pockets in the pants underneath. Rad feature but no closure on them so water will just enter there. Wear a long jacket and don't move around too much and you should be fine but these will not pass my typical shower test. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Hard working keep them dry pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by MoniqueWS from Oregon on Monday, December 3, 2018Years ago I purchased these for my first son so he could stay dry during Christmas tree cutting, hauling, selling season. They lasted for him for many, many years. Second son was able to wear them for a couple years as well. This year I repurchased a pair for second son. This is definitely a get your moneys worth item. THANK YOU!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent Rain PantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by green from Florida on Sunday, October 28, 2018I ordered a pair for my husband and he really likes them so I ordered a small for myself and I too am very happy with them. They are loose but meant to go over other clothes so this is good. The slits for pockets is nice so you can still reach into both front and back pockets of the pants underneath.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Not really waterproof!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sue from Sierra Foothills, CA on Tuesday, January 9, 2018I wear these with a long drifter raincoat when I do the daily chores (feeding, etc.) at the boarding stable/retirement farm I run, so I am sitting on a Gator as well as standing. After an hour out in the rain, my jeans are damp under them--not wet, but definitely damp on the thighs and knees. So disappointing! I have rubber overalls, but would like to find some truly waterproof pants as they are much easier to be in for several hours at a time.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Susan the Swimmer from Tucson, AZ on Monday, January 1, 2018I bought these to wear over my bathing suit with my swim parka when I go to the pool on chilly mornings. Even though I live in AZ, it can be chilly in the early morning hours. I also plan to use them during our monsoon rain season, and over jeans or sweat pants as snow pants if I go up to our local mountain to play in the snow. The price was definitely right and I expect to have these pants for a long time.

1.0 out of 5 stars. This deserves a NEGATIVE STARReviewed by You Better Shop Around from Marin on Monday, November 20, 2017Who ever designed this so-called waterproof pants obviously had a mental breakdown. Why would anyone design waterproof pants with holes "open" pockets? It's absolutely freaking insane. Both front pockets and back pocket are completely open (no zipper, velcro or buttons --- pockets are completely open. They're not even real pockets---they are just holes. INSANE!

1.0 out of 5 stars. Cheap Poor QualityVerified Buyer Reviewed by Rocky Road from Chicago on Tuesday, October 31, 2017You can find the same product at other stores for half price. At least now the description had been modified to say that there are pass through welts and now pockets like it said when I bought them.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome pants for hikingVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from New York on Monday, September 18, 2017I checked the reviews on Amazon before buying these for my sons backpacking trip and everyone raved. They were correct, awesome product!
Elastic waist, open pockets allow you to reach through to pockets in original clothing underneath. Watertight seams, sturdy and best of all very lightweight and packs down to smaller than a disposable water bottle. Bonus: it come with its on cinch sack keeping it compact and contained in a pack.
Definitely worth the great price here on STP (half of Amazon listing).
