4.0 out of 5 stars. looks and feels great but low-waistedReviewed by Summer from Bay Area on Monday, September 8, 2014These shorts are almost perfect. I like the print, fitted style, stretchiness of the fabric, wide waistband and zippered pocket. The only downside is that they sit low on your hips, which for some may not be a problem but I have relatively narrow hips and they don't feel totally secure on my body. That said, I've done two runs in these shorts, including one long one, and they've stay put without problem. I should also add that the back is slightly longer than the front, which is a nice design feature for modesty. For reference I'm 5'4", 125lbs and the S fits me well.

4.0 out of 5 stars. So far, so good!Reviewed by Broke Law Student from Chicago, IL on Wednesday, June 11, 2014My usual running shorts (like, I've worn the same style for over 10 years now) are Adidas Marathon 10s, but recently picked up another pair of New Balance shorts that I liked enough to try branching out to these. I haven't decided if I like the print on these or not yet, and they aren't quite as soft as the other New Balances I have, but they have a really nice stretchy quality to the fabric. These are fairly generous in size--I'm 5'10, 140# and the small fits fine, not too tightly but they definitely aren't baggy--mediums would be too big, although I often buy a medium in other brands for the comfort. I really like the cut of these, it doesn't show in the picture but they are a little longer cut in the back, so although they're pretty short, nothing bounces along behind you while you run, and nothing indecent happens when you bend down to tie your shoe. Also I really like the waistband on these, no muffin top and the drawcord in the waist is continuous, so no loose ties hanging out. They also have a small zippered pocket on the right hip/cheek area, which is a GREAT place to put it because unlike the waistband pockets you aren't stabbed by the zipper if you sit/lay down, and unlike those silly inside pockets you can actually use it and trust it to contain a key while running. The only thing I'm not 100% sure of is the potential for chafing between the thighs with the seam placement. Short runs, no issues so far, but haven't taken these out for a long run yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars. great!Reviewed by Anonymous from Salt Lake City on Friday, January 31, 2014I tend to buy shorts with longer (4-5") inseams, but loved the pattern and colors of the multi colored short so much that I bought them anyway and I am not disappointed. The pattern is beautiful and the fabric is great too - unbelievably light and quick drying. Shorts are very comfortable and flattering as they avoid the "baggy diaper" look of a lot of running shorts. I'm 5'5", 110 lbs and the XS fits great.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Beautiful shorts!Reviewed by Anonymous from Asheville, NC on Sunday, November 17, 2013I love these and kept them even though the fit on me is a bit funny. I'm 5'5" and 135 pounds. I usually wear size 10-12 in bottoms, but the mediums were too small and the larges were too big.
