5.0 out of 5 stars. Great polesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Julie from NC on Tuesday, July 25, 2017First I do need to say that I had a problem with the first pair-BUT- customer service was extremely helpful and efficient in sending another pair free of charge and with free shipping both ways. That was 5 star service! The poles themselves are light weight, yet sturdy, easy to adjust (and they stay adjusted without any slipping). The hand grips are very comfortable (I have fairly small hands). All in all they feel and look great, and you cannot beat the price!

1.0 out of 5 stars. Not very strongVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Washington on Monday, May 1, 2017Easy to adjust. But one pole broke in two on the first hike using them, coming down hill. Have sent them back, hopefully will receive a replacement pair or full refund.

5.0 out of 5 stars. great polesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Massachusetts on Sunday, October 12, 2014I didn't think I was interested in using poles, after 50+ years of hiking without them. I have brought one pole with me now on several hikes and am kicking myself for not doing this earlier. Crossing streams and snowbanks is much more fun now, and I may "graduate" to using two poles to give my upper body a slight workout as I hike along in general. Very easy to adjust, and I really like the extended grips that enable you to keep moving without constantly adjusting the length of the pole.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great poles at a great priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by R Bressler from Livingston Manor, NY on Tuesday, September 23, 2014My wife has used Komperdell poles for years now and I thought it would be nice to get her a new pair. I saw no reason to change brands but knew she would like external locks as they are easier to adjust. The poles came more quickly than I had expected which is a compliment to STP! As I opened the package they seemed a little heavy but once they were stripped of their packaging and the weight was acceptable. They are not the lightest poles but they seem durable and my wife likes the grip and the swing weight.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Strong and lightVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Far Northern California on Tuesday, September 16, 2014These are NICE poles. I've gone through two pairs of poles, (older Komperdell, and Leki) and these seem better built than those others. I like the adjustment catches- very streamline, and better than the twist-lock variety that have failed me in the past..

5.0 out of 5 stars. So far so goodVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Montana on Tuesday, September 2, 2014I hiked with these poles for four days in the Beartooth Mountains (Montana) this weekend and liked them a lot. Lightweight easy to adjust the length, and the "power locks" seemed sturdy and secure. These were a replacement for a different model of Komperdell poles I bought which had defective locks where the poles fold up; this seems like a much better locking system.
By the way, the return/exchange of the defective poles was easy, smooth, and almost effortless with their online customer service and good return policy. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great, lightweight trekking poles!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mom of 4 from Colorado on Monday, September 1, 2014I am 5'2" (if I stand really tall) and most products are made for the 'average' height person. These work well for my height and I love the lightness! They are easily adjustable and stay locked (not so with another brand I had, which is not fun)!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Just what I was looking forVerified Buyer Reviewed by AVC from Delmar, NY on Friday, July 25, 2014I got these for trail running and hiking. I always use trekking poles backpacking, but a recent knee injury inspired me to use them for a day hike. I was so pleased I could still do trails just by using my poles, but the ones I had were a little old, a little heavy, and a little clunky. I wanted something lightweight that I could carry in my hands while running and use for balance and leverage when my knee felt unsteady. I wanted the extended grip specifically for use uphill when I might just be carrying them but wanting a little help without having to readjust my grip terribly much. I also specifically wanted the snap lock adjustment, which I find much more efficient, worry-free, and easier to fix if need be (screwdriver, tighten, done). I didn't care about the anti-shock, which these do not have. After I tested them out on a trail run, I was thrilled with my purchase. The grip is cushioned and moisture-absorbent, the extended grip was just what I wanted, and they are super light. You could probably get lighter, but I didn't feel like I was carrying anything, and I really wanted the extended grip. My only complaint is that when you extend them they are silver under the black. And here I felt like a woods ninja for a second. ; ) But seriously, I almost bought another pair, but then thought it a little ridiculous to have three pairs of trekking poles.
