With a belt it probably wouldn't be an issue but before I put my belt on it was an annoyance. If it wasn't for the additional inside button this would have been a deal breaker for me but at least with the button the shorts wouldn't come completely open when the snap would fail. The shorts appeared to be true to size in fit and the material was heavy and durable just wish they had used a different snap closure on the front and I would have given it five stars.

This is the real deal. They are true to size, relaxed but not too big or frumpy. No worries about these being the newer slim-cut variety. The cotton is super thick with no spandex, just the way all cargo shorts used to be about 15 years ago. Washes and dries like they are pre-shrunk. This is the first time in a while that I have just not been able to get my size in these. Finally broke down and ordered one size up, and had my wife put elastic in the waist. Yeah, they are that good.
