Giro Athlon Bike Helmet (For Men and Women)

This helmet is lightweight and secure. There is minimal encumbrance, yet stays in place perfectly. When adjusted correctly it becomes more of an extension of your body rather than a separate head piece.

The cooling system works as advertised. Any speed built up or gust of wind is regulated to cool the user efficiently as based on the helmet's design pattern. The visor works great and adds a more unique styling to the helmet, although it doesn't have too much room for adjustment in terms of degrees, yet it hasn't had a need for more extreme angles either. The default visor position is efficient if fitted correctly.

My head measured 21". I went with a medium and with minor adjustments I was able to get it to fit like a glove. Most of the adjustments come from a very user friendly dial that is turned clockwise or counter-clockwise on the back, which can be easily operated on the fly. It is best to make fine tune adjustments with the side straps prior to your ride, as well as the helmet's height adjustment, by simply lifting or lowering (depending on it's positioning) the helmet on an attached vertical slot. Then when your on the trail you can quickly tighten or loosen your helmet, with the large dial described earlier, as needed.

The helmet has minimal padding, but still manages to maintain comfort from an unpleasant hard plastic feeling. I chose red and black to match my bike and gear, but all of the combinations available look good depending on your preference, the quality is their in the design when seen in person. Product recieves 5 stars in all apects, but still hoping it holds up to the hands of time. If your on the fence about buying it, you won't be displeased, enjoy!
