I usually take a size 8, but I could not get my foot through the shaft into the footbed. I ordered an 8 1/2 and I got my foot in, but the boot is a little big. I am keeping the boot and will wear a thicker sock.

Was worried because other reviewers had trouble getting the boots on. But they slipped on with complete ease and are seriously the most comfortable boots. Super well made with quality materials, just the right amount of heel and lots of "give" for quality leather boots. The wool part is gorgeous! Can't wait for cooler weather to wear these babies! Seem true to size and the sale price made them even sweeter!

They seem to follow the usual fit of cowboy boots--that is, smaller than a person's usual sneaker size. I ordered a half-size smaller than my usual sneaker size and that did the trick. These would be especially good for cool to cold weather because of how thick the calves are due to the blanket layer.

And my calves are 13 - 13.5. Got these in a 6 and then got another in a 6.5. The calves are no larger in the 6.5 so I sent them back. They were way to long. I think once worn in I can get med thick socks on with them. I have a flat, no arch foot and once I get them on they are perfect. So nice and very comfortable. The keys words are 'once you get them on!' Any boots that have a smaller calf circumference NEED to have a zipper. I've ran across booties with this same problem. I do believe I will find a way to stretch that little strip of suede around the top. I think the wool will stretch with time. I'm sure I will figure it out. In the meantime with some work I can get them on. I did make hubby build me a boot puller though.
They are also very slick on the bottom. Corrected that with boot strips from the grocery.
Wear skinny thin jeans and after a few wears they go down in the boat easier. -

They appear sturdy, very well made and the woven shaft is lovely--just as shown. I bought them ½ size larger based on some reviewer's comments, but my actual size probably would have fit me perfectly. However, the shaft is too snug at my calves and, because of the thick fabric shaft / leather lining, I don't think I could have them stretched. These are definitely boots you want to tuck your pants in to show them off. I regretfully sent them back, although I didn't want to!

I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get them off, but have a wooden boot jack so got them off with ease thank goodness. I have to return them.

Sometimes a 9. I got an 8 1/2 and it fits fine in the heel and length of the toe area. Unfortunately it is slightly too narrow in the toe area. I would not have been able to wear them an 8 hour work day, so I had to return them.
