They look like regular walking shorts, complete with pockets, but they also work as bike shorts. We go on organized bike tours, and you could use these shorts while on the bike, and then later going out to dinner. They have a typical spandex liner with padding, but it does not show. The spandex liner is easily removed to use the shorts just like regular walking shorts. They also have adjustable tabs, so that you do not need to wear a belt.

The removable liner is a nice touch (but be sure to remove it before washing). Chamois pad adds comfort but isn't bulky, so you don't feel like you're wearing a diaper like some shorts. Two zipper pockets, one on the back and one on the right leg that's good for carrying a map or whatever. My only complaint is the waist adjustment straps; the clips don't really lock into place and come loose too easily. But that's a minor quibble and hasn't caused any actual problems. Highly recommended.

Me LikeReviewed by Partybrett from CC Tx on Wednesday, August 20, 2014These are great all around shorts, mesh in pockets in case after a long ride in the mountains, I need a swim, The insert is comfortable & not to bulky with the gel insert for male comfort, they are stretchy, quick drying, true to size you could workout, jog or just go out on the town in these shorts.The right thigh pocket is a little small for a cell phone, but there is a decent one in the opening of the right hand pocket that works good for my phone, as long as I am not riding.
