It is feather-light, I am going to add a little ribbon to tie under the chin to keep it on in the breeze. Extra-side brim provides excellent protection from sunburn. Too droopy for street-wear, but perfect for chores.

I need complete sun protection for my face and this hat works well. It is lightweight and fits well. I will add a chin strap though so that I don't have to carry it when I take it off.

It isn't quite as broad as I expected from the picture, but when I wear it my face is well shaded. The material also looks a bit nicer in person than in the picture. It's very comfortable and cool as well. I do wish it came with some kind of string to keep it from escaping when the wind blows too much, but there is a band inside the hat which can be adjusted, which helps.
I think it makes a great gardening hat, or even a walking about hat if you don't mind that it is very casual. -

It does not have a vented crown, so I am not sure if I will like it in the heat of the summer. The brim is very close to my head, so it should be a good hat for the wind when brims are a problem and catch the wind and fly off. Very easy to pack as the whole thing is squishy.
