I wouldn't call them straight-leg, but I also wouldn't call them palazzo pants. They are trim through the waist and thighs and straight (not trim) down from there. No pockets, no belt loops. They are smooth under longer tops, which is what I was looking for.

I ordered a size up & they were huge so won't keep them. But I would not call them straight-legged. They are generous at the bottom like a palazzo pant.

(I wear 10 or 12 depending on the brand.) The length is also very nice for a 5'11" gal. My one complaint, if I had been able to keep them, would have been the fabric, which is just a little bit scratchy. Not a major drawback, but I wanted something unlined for coolness in hot climates so that was great, but the scratchy fabric wasn't quite as nice as I'd hoped.

So sad.Reviewed by MAG from Mexico on Saturday, June 27, 2015I ordered this Lafayette 148 New York Contemporary Classic Pants - Stretch Wool, Straight Leg (For Women) Item #6636Y, and instead I received the Pendleton Madison Stretch Wool Trouser Pants - Flat Front (For Women) Item #7596M, which are sold for a lot less, by far. The pants I received are labeled Pendleton, and have the welted button-through back pockets, that the Lafayette Pants do not have.
