The first time i wore it was on a walk in the rain. It doesn't have a hood, which is fine with me because I had my umbrella (and don't like hoods anyway. The down isn't 'puffy' but plenty warm. It's better worn with a lighter weight shirt underneath. I'm not a purple fan but this color is a deeper purple and the tone on tone details on the fabric make it even more interesting.

Velcro at cuffs. My disappointment is that the stitching under one of the zipper pockets is coming undone withing the first day wearing. An easy repair but it raises my concern at how well it will hold up over time.. Second disappointment is that it truly doesn't breath and that may be ok for keeping warm for casual use only. I wore it snowboarding with a moisture wicking top underneath and the inside of the jacket was soaked by the end of the day and it STUNK!! Wet down stinks =(( Too bad it won't work for spring snowboarding but I will certainly enjoy wearing it 'around town.'

Great jacket!Reviewed by Anonymous from Michigan on Friday, March 21, 2014Great color, trim fit (maybe runs a little small, or I'm running larger than usual after a long, bitter winter), sleeves actually long enough, LOVE this jacket. Have received many, many compliments - but I bought it to keep warm, and that it does. Walking the dogs in below freezing weather with a bit of wind, this jacket, with a sweater underneath, was perfect. With its lack of bulk, I was afraid it wouldn't be warm enough, but it is. And I really like that it has Velcro fasteners instead of snaps or buttons on the wind flap - much easier to manage while wearing gloves. Some reviews complained of a lack of breathablity, but, with wind and high humidity and frigid temps, that hasn't been a problem - I can unzip a bit if I get too warm. Would definitely buy this again. Thank you, STP for wonderful service and products!

I will keep this coat because it's very pretty and I got it on sale but it's not a jacket for the very active - it's more for show. Just the slightest bit of exertion above "normal" and I feel myself beginning to sweat - and there is no breathability. Very uncomfortable.
