Calida Family Time Interlock Cotton Nightshirt - Long Sleeve (For Women)

Like all my earlier Calida nightgowns, the fabric is both soft and sturdy. However, the grey knit edging on the crew neck is the wrong color for a red and white "charming gingham check" fabric. Also the brown buttons on top ( which have only decorative value since they don't actually function as buttons) should have been replaced with white mother-of pearl to go with this gown. Also, according to the description, this nightshirt is "Styled with rib-knit cuffs." It wasn't -- the cuffs were just hemmed, which was okay with me. But why the description? In the past, Calida has always trimmed its products with care, to match the color and quality of its fabrics. In this case, someone wasn't paying attention. I got this at an extra-good discount, which made the purchase worthwhile. However, it would not have been worth the ordinary discount because of Calida's lack of attention to the details.

I do like wearing this gown, and for the price, I'm not sorry that I bought it. What I do like about it - I love the coverage and the length. I feel perfectly comfortable running around the house in it. It is soft and easy to wear and even with the longer length does not get twisted while I'm sleeping. The cons - it is billed as "warm and cozy" and I was expecting a gown that I would be putting away for cooler weather. Not so. It is not particularly heavy, at least not in my book. It also says that it has "rib-knit cuffs". It just has hemmed sleeves which frankly is fine with me because I don't want things tight. Just pointing it out. All in all, as I said, I am not sorry that I have the gown and will wear it for what it is, but I would not order it again.

I like a high-necked nightshirt for winter, and I want long sleeves, too. This one doesn't have rib-knit cuffs, but the sleeves are plenty long. This nightshirt isn't beautiful, by any means, but it fills the bill nicely. Calida makes high-quality nightwear, and their knit fabrics are especially lovely. The winter ones are quite heavy and warm. This isn't a full-length gown, but hits me well below the knees (I'm 5'3"). I'd normally wear an Extra Large, but their products seem to run large, and I ordered a Large, which fits me fine. I've worn it and washed it, and am looking forward to wearing it again tonight.

Soft cotton, comfortable, thin, of average quality. If you are used to the high quality double-knit thick warm cotton comfort Calida was famous for a few years ago you will be disappointed. This will not keep you warm below 40 degrees F
