Much detailing, worn-in lookVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Washington state on Saturday, October 18, 2014This soft corduroy shirt has more styling details than I could perceive from the pictures. If you have long arms, you may find the sleeves a little short, based on the length on the S regular which were fine for me, though I usually buy petite to get shorter arms. The shirt has bust darts and two additional seams up the front and two darts on both sides of the back for shaping but I didn't find it had a particularly tight fit. The chest pockets are decorative and not designed to be used. The extra shaping seams also had decorative stitching outlining them. "Cuffs" are non-standard, non-cuff.....the arm ends are finished by a simple but shaped hem decoratively stitched and featuring a series of small darts. Hard to fold back like a regular sewn-on cuff with button closing. Personally, I think corduroy is one of those fabrics which looks best in simple designs with fewer seams and darts; but I liked the color so I kept the shirt. Color is not minty and yet not particularly yellowed, as greens go. Not exactly silver lichen colored sage...hard to describe. It will go with blacks, brown, greys, khakis, I think. I washed the shirt in the machine per instructions and hung it to dry. For home/outdoor wear, it would need no ironing. If you wish to incorporate it into a more fashion-oriented wardrobe, you might want to iron it. It will always look soft, floppy, and worn-in, even with ironing, because it is thin corduroy with not much body and zero crispness. A good shirt for a feminine version of the military look? Not a great gardening shirt or doing the dishes shirt due to the non-cuff, hard to bold back style.
