3.0 out of 5 stars. Game earsVerified Buyer Reviewed by 7Greenheads from Illinois on Tuesday, December 9, 2014Somewhat difficult to use in the wind. Lots of wind noise. I'm a waterfowl hunter and when I blow my goose call the muffs close down on the second note making it difficult to hear what is coming out of the call. Works fine with reducing the sound of the gun shot though.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Quality Range MuffsVerified Buyer Reviewed by lapayne1 from Dallas on Thursday, November 20, 2014Used these at an indoor pistol range recently. Good sound blocking and the microphones allowed me to hear what others were saying and still block out the blast from the gun. I bought two pair and would buy again. This is my first pair of electronic muffs however so I don't know how they compare to the competition.

5.0 out of 5 stars. everything and moreVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from connecticut on Tuesday, October 14, 2014I was accused by my better half that my hearing was going. As a hunter/shooter, and 72, it was possible. So I tried these as amplifiers before getting tested for hearing aides. They work beautifully, and I wear them in the house, particularly when watching TV, at half the volume that I used to. Haven't tried them at the range/hunting yet, but look forward to it.
Put them on "turned off" and gradually increase the hearing aide for each ear. And turn them off BEFORE you take them off to avoid loud squeaky feedback
Great product at a great price....

5.0 out of 5 stars. Works great and inexpensiveVerified Buyer Reviewed by Julie the Cruise Director from Kalamazoo, MI on Monday, October 13, 2014Bought there ear muffs to replace another pair that had owned for 5 years for hunting, and had finally gotten eaten by mice during the off season. If anything these are better quality and less expensive. Comfortable fit even for a big head.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Ear MuffsVerified Buyer Reviewed by no nickname from midwest on Tuesday, August 5, 2014I am glad I bought them. They are comfortable and not bulky. The microphones work good - it is nice to be able to adjust the volumes.

5.0 out of 5 stars. A good solid deal for the money.Reviewed by Anonymous from Arkansas on Tuesday, March 4, 2014I bought these for hunting. Last year I lost a deer right behind me walking in the leaves and I could not hear it. I saw these listed at STP and ordered a pair. Deer season was already over but I have used these on a couple of different occasions. The first with my Pedersoli Sharp's 1874. I was able to hear everything around me. When I squeezed the trigger the noise reduction was instant. I also used these rapid firing a lever action three times. The noise reduction during rapid fire shooting is instant. I could also speak with me son-in-law who tried these muffs out. I did not inform him of what these did and when he puled the trigger he was suitably impressed. I am able to hear range commands and then noise is blocked by the muffs. A very good deal for the hunter or range shooter.
I did not have any high pitched squeal. However you will hear the wind. The more these are turned up the more sensitive. They are sensitive and should work well in the woods. For the price you cannot go wrong.
