I washed it in a garment bag on cold, delicate cycle with wool detergent and laid flat to dry. I did not notice any changes in the size of the sweater after washing. I did notice some serious pilling happening under the arms and where friction occurs. I am sad about that and will attempt to limit my washings. I would not recommend paying full price for this sweater, but since I got it on sale I think it was an ok buy.

When I got it and put it on, it was more like an XX-small. I returned it for a large and that was quite a bit too large. I washed it in cold as per instructions, and it came out X-small and I can barely get it on. Since I washed it, I can't return it. I read a similar review about this sweater elsewhere and I should have paid attention to it! I won't buy ExOfficio again; I don't want to risk losing another sixty bucks!
