4.0 out of 5 stars. Compression for FeetVerified Buyer Reviewed by Dave from California on Friday, May 29, 2015Have only put in a few runs in these, but early results say that I like them. The laces are really just decoration from what I can tell. These are a bit like a neoprene wetsuit booties. They go on like a glove/sock and stay there. I have liked running in "running" socks that offer compression support over the instep and center of the foot. These hug all around with room for the toes. They certainly do not slip. Cushioning is about average.

4.0 out of 5 stars. normal zoot fitVerified Buyer Reviewed by bill from folsom, ca on Thursday, July 17, 2014i wear 11b street shoes and 11.5 running shoes. i bought these in 11.5 and they fit well enough with thin socks on. they are light, have plenty of toe box room, and i like them, but with me at 175 pounds i do not think they have the cushioning that most of my other distance running shoes have. on the other hand, my times always improve in zoot shoes, by about 2 minutes on a 5 mile run. to sum up, i go faster in zoots, but with less shock absorption.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Shoes!Verified Buyer Reviewed by T.C. from Missouri on Thursday, June 5, 2014I've never owned any Zoot shoes before this, but decided to give them a try. I went with the Kane's because of my lack of arches and needing shoes that offer support. I bought my usual size, and they fit perfect (they are snug - laterally, not length-wise, but I believe they way they are designed this way). I've been wearing mine as intended - without socks. All I can say, is that I love them. I have worn them everyday since receiving them. I've worn them while out running errands, to the gym, and while biking. Absolutely, no complaints! They may not be for everybody, but I think they are fantastic shoes. Give them a try!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Zoot Ultra Kane 3.0 - Great shoes!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Michael from Ventura, CA on Saturday, April 19, 2014The shoes are very cushioned, and have a soft sock-like exterior. They are excellent for triathlon use as they are comfortably worn barefoot. I also wear them for distance runs (with light socks), and they perform very well. I originally used the Zoot Ultra Kane 1.0, and bought several pair of those. The Ultra Kane 2.0 had a mesh exterior instead of the sock-liner style, and did not work for me. This 3.0 model goes back to the 1.0 style, and feels comfortable immediately. I wear my normal size of 101/2, and it fits fine. The STP price is great!
