4.0 out of 5 stars. Good at a great priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Flat lander in Missouri from MO on Wednesday, October 22, 2014I am 6'6'' with a 37 sleeve length. The XL fits well for a standard item. The sleeves are about 1/2 inch short for being perfect. I like the thumb holes and the mittens for those colder days. I wear it mostly on cool mornings to yoga class. I would agree with most reviewers that the the hood is awkward. Looking forward to using it as a mid-layer under my Salomon Cadabra Ski Jacket in Colorado this winter.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Salomon Swift hoodedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Maryland on Saturday, October 11, 2014I got this as a mid-weight insulation layering jacket for the winter alpine climbing.. It seems to be well designed with high quality fabric. Hood is bit loose fit but it may be it is designed to be worn over the climbing helmet. Fit is slick and chest pocket instead of waist pocket is a good idea if you wearing climbing harness. i wish they will carry more medium size available in the future. I am giving 4 stars because I have not tested outdoor at this time.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love this piece! Fits true, looks good, oh and it works very well!Reviewed by Bianchibuddy from Boulder, CO on Monday, April 28, 2014Great fit, good looks, warm base layer under shell, protective top layer over an R2 works great on bluebird ski days. The hood is a bit loose to use for running warmth, but I do like the extra material on the back of my neck when skiing. Very nice quality, should last a long time.

2.0 out of 5 stars. New Model Salomon Swift HoodyReviewed by Minnesotawinters from Minneapolis on Sunday, March 16, 2014I own last season's Swift Hoody (Vibrant Blue) and was hoping the new model would improve on a handful of items (softer fabric and built-in gloves) while keeping the excellent features of last season's swift (I absolutely love the fit of the hood)
Unfortunately, while the new model does bring a softer fabric and improves on the gloves, the fit is not as tight as the old model and the hood is really loose with no way of adjusting it (by draw cords).
Because of this I don't think the new model will be part of next winter's rotation. Actually I am only keeping it because I realized midway through a 10 mile skate ski about the looser fit and the issue with the hoody. The new model does not include the back zipper that was super convinient.
Overall quiet a letdown and I am kicking myself for test driving it, now I am sort of stuck with it ha!
It seems the last season's model was so good I have not been able to find any on the web :( -

Unfortunately, while the new model does bring a softer fabric and improves on the gloves, the fit is not as tight as the old model and the hood is really loose with no way of adjusting it (by draw cords). The wind keeps pulling it back, something that was a non issue in last season's.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great PulloverReviewed by Jon the biker from Lansdale, PA on Monday, March 3, 2014love this pullover, a little lighter than I expected but still very warm and dries super quickly. Medium fit well, I am 5'8" and 160 lbs and for the most part trim.
Great price from Sierra trading post, get one you will love it! -

5.0 out of 5 stars. comfy versatile hoodyReviewed by cypressarbor from denver, co on Wednesday, February 26, 2014Strikes a nice balance between being light and being insulating. I use it primarily as a midlayer or an outer on warm colorado days and it's great as long as the wind doesn't kick up. Slim enough fit that I could easily wear it under my harness for tree climbing and it wouldn't snag. I'll work in it this spring for sure.
