Neve Spindrift Base Layer Top - Merino Wool Blend, Zip Neck, Long Sleeve (For Women)

Another reviewer said she purchased a size up thinking it would shrink but it did not, so she wished she had purchased her normal size. Well, I am typically a size 12 and purchased the XL because the description said base layer. The last Neve base layer I purchased true to size was really form fitting and not something I would wear alone (as base layers are supposed to be). But, that particular item was really designed to be worn underneath other pieces. This, however, could totally be worn as your top sweater in my opinion. So, I'm really glad I sized up, since it is a nice comfortable fit, not tight. I think if I would have ordered my normal size L it would have been too form fitting for me to comfortably wear on its own. The material has a very soft, silky feel and in my opinion it would be a shame to hide it underneath other sweaters. So, I would say that depending upon how you plan to use this, order the size accordingly.

Caution, I bought a size up to allow for shrinkage when machine laundered and dried. The sweater DID NOT shrink!! I should have bought my size, but I'll just have a very loose fitting sweater now. Excellent quality and worth the price, just buy your size if you want a good fit.
