I had ordered it in the desperation of a major cold snap. The hat is quite warm, and the fabric is a nice wool. The only downfall is the buckle and strap, which are difficult to fasten on and off, mainly because the strap is a little too thick and wide for the buckle. I will have a seamstress exchange it for a bigger buckle. If the strap mechanism is important to you and you don't want to modify it, this hat is not for you

The only downside for me to the hat is the chin strap is not a quick secure/release. It is a belt and buckle which is a little tricky securing. Overall great hat and great value.

I'm between 7 1/8 and 7 1/4 hat size, and would NOT want it any smaller. That said - it looks and feels great. Inner lining of the non-flap parts of the hat is quilted satin - so might be not as cozy on a bald head.

It is insulated and has faux-fur lined ear flaps and brim. It acutally exceeded my modest expectations!! the fit is pretty close to the sizes shown on the listing. It was a great deal at STP.
