i ordered a 6 initially but they were a little too big everywhere except around the hips/thighs. still, i exchanged them for a size 4 and the waist fit much better. i moved the waistband button over 1/4 inch to more comfortably wear them low on the hips and avoid any tightness on my upper legs.
i am moderately curvy (natural waist 28", hips 37/38"), and i think the pants are mostly true to size, if not a little large. if you are very curvy, the waist will likely gape in the size that will fit comfortably at your hips... -
