Just Disappointed. from Tahoe on Thursday, May 12, 2016I had gotten another pair of PI Ultra Split shorts in medium and they fit like a dream (I'm 5'8" 145lbs). Elastic waistband wasn't uncomfortable and I could even fold it down if I wanted. I got these and they were significantly more snug along the waist band and in the built in briefs (like wearing speedo bottoms one size too small). However the shorts themselves fit fine. If I hadn't of needed a new pair of shorts by the next day I would have returned them.

Love the pockets, and the flat no chafe waistband. As with most PI products, I had to size up to a L (I wear a M in most all other brands) Was worried the "split" part of these shorts would be too revealing, but NOPE! Wore these right out of the gate at a trail marathon and they were great!

Not padded. These are nice shorts but I wouldn't say they are for cycling. Running and active wear, yes. They are cute :-)

I ordered the small - normally wear a sz 4-6. They were a bit tight so returned for a medium. The medium fits great. The "water" pocket is fairly small so I can use my gu or something small in there but not any of my water jugs are small enough.

These shorts don't have padding and are intended for runners. My wife loved them, but we couldn't justify the price tag when yo can get similar shorts for a much lesser price at outlet stores.

With vanity sizing, I'm never sure what size to order anymore. Was hoping the XS would be all right, but they are not vanity sized at all so they are way too tight. I am 5 '4" and 115 lbs., and very narrow hipped. And there is no small available, so I'll just have to be sad I guess. They are pretty low on the hips, might be too much for some people.

I always have problem with pocket that isn't big enough for my android phone but this one I can put it in and take out easily and it doesn't bounce much enough to bother me during my run. The 2 side mesh pockets are useful for Gel, GUs, and tissues, etc Both of these pockets aren't small either due to the stretchy mesh you can put alot in there. The material is nice quality, very soft and rubbing at all, very comfortable just like the North Face Almost Naked short. I wish it comes in more colors, I would buy them all especially with the deal here at STP. The only thing I would like to change is the waist line to be a a little higher.

The colors are gorgeous but also very visible, an appreciated safety feature. The fit is excellent, I hate bunchy elastic waistbands on baggy shorts. The storage pockets on the back are SO much better than pockets in the front that bounce around inside baggy shorts. I liked these so much that I bought another pair so that while one pair air dries (I never put them in the dryer because I worry that the heat might damage the wonderful fabric) I can wear the second pair. The Deal Flyer coupon gave me a great price. Thanks STP.
