I love the hydrophobic material. While it's not enough to keep you bone dry in a big storm but it worked great for the rain shower I got stuck in while unloading groceries. The water sheds right off. I got the grey color and it was a bit darker than I was expecting, more of a black with hints of grey and white, but no big deal to me.
