I ended up going a full size up, or 3 Euro sizes. Once I found the fit, all was good. Very light with good traction and breathability. Had to work at the laces until they felt snug top to bottom.

I think I finally found what I was looking for in a hiking shoe. I've worn them half a dozen times on short hikes (2-2.5 miles on Blue Hill Mtn.) These shoes require heavy socks to counter thin sidewalls that irritate the outside bones of my little toe knuckle. Other than that they are comfortable with great traction on rocky surfaces. Too soon to know how they will hold up to extensive wear.

Wore them a ton; and will wear them more. It is light weight; does have great traction; however something is going on with Salomon's lacing SYSTEMS.. They never lace right; this is a good walking around shoe at best.

It is a shoe; not a technical shoe at all; not a light weight hiker; buy them if you like the way they look and want to wear them around town. -
