Fit seemed appropriate, but I was a bit optimistic when I ordered, so its snug on me. I like loose clothes. I like the fabric, but agree with other reviewers that an under garment or jacket might be prudent. The gold buttons are rather tacky, and I'll replace them. I'll probably do some adjusting before I wear it. Like other editors, it would be more attractive if it was a bit shorter. The color I got was almost pink/coral. Should be great for a lightweight summer travel dress. It's difficult to find silk here, but its well built, so it's worth it to keep and modify a bit.

Fabric has little body, not suitable for a dress - very sheer. Certainly needs a slip. I returned this. Typically love Travelsmith products, but not this time.

(Where are the sleeves on dresses now anyway?) The sizing was good. As another person mentioned, the static on this dress right out of the plastic bag was pretty terrible but that is fixable condition. I love all of the colors in which this dress comes.

It looks great with almost any jewelry or other accessories, from simple to ornate. It looks especially nice with a pretty scarf or shawl for evening. Because the dress is solid color, it pairs well with jackets/wraps in print patterns. The fabric is a supple and elegant broadcloth weave with a subtle sheen. Another reviewer said it's thin, but this is dress-weight silk, not raw silk or shantung silk as might be used for suiting-- the weight is just what it should be. For those who don't like the "clinginess" of silk, a slip or chemise will eliminate this issue. The colors are rich and glowing -- I got both the green and the orange. I wish it came in more colors.

There is a problem with the side ,pocket zippers. The zipper's weight is too heavy for the silk fabric making the pockets pucker at the hips. Looks like one is caring more than hips on their body.... not good.
I returned the dress for this reason. If one sews and can remove the zippers, great...that would make the dress very practical for the hot weather we are sure to have. -
