Flynt Seersucker Suit - Cotton (For Men)

The material has a good feel. May be just on the thick side for summer wear, but the higher quality fabric builds a nice drape & feel. Liner is way cool - a green tartan. Sizing is correct.

Seersucker suits are lightweight for those hot summer days when you need to wear a suit, but you don't want to sweat too much. Most seersucker suits are not really that comfortable and do not fit well. This Flynt Seersucker Suit fit like a glove and is very comfortable. It is finished with a three-quarter lining.
I normally wear a size 44 sport coat and this 44 fit perfectly. The pants are unhemmed so they required tailoring for length to fit. The waist was operfect (36)The jacket only required minor sleeve length adjustment. This was a super STP deal.

this is my second seersucker suit from sierra trading post. my first was a Haspel, which had lighter blue stripes than this one by Flynt, whose stripes are more navy blue. but they are close. of course, this suit jacket replaces the wine stained jacket of the former, and in a pinch i could claim to have now a ‘two pairs of pants’ suit. that match is the luck of the draw.

this new suit has a half lining with piped fabric edges inside the jacket, all done nicely in a dark pattern. on each side inside is a breast pocket and below it, a second pocket suitable for eyeglasses.

the fit is more contemporary than my first which i bought only about three years ago, meaning the jacket is more shaped with lapels that remind me of the late fifties. not too wide, but wider than i expected. slight pinch at the waist, two outer flap pockets, a working button hole in the lapel. the shoulders have a very thin pad that looks well if the jacket fits your shoulders properly. sleeves are long, mine needed shortening. the size i ordered fit well.

the pants are similar to those of my last suit and come unhemmed. at my leg length, the cuffs are about 9”.

the fabric is light and airy, light can be seen through it when held to a window.

this suit at this price is a terrific value. very well sewn together—no loose threads, straight stitching.

i feel like i got a really good deal, and am happy for it.

the cut of this suit is way off -- the upper arms have padding that is higher than the shoulder, so it looks ridiculous on.
