The stitching is sturdy, the heels are solid, leather is good quality and the contrast cutwork pattern is gorgeous. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because they didn't fit me. It seriously broke my heart when I put them on and the calf was gigantic around my leg. To be fair, I have had some health issues and lost more body weight than I would like, so I am not a good test market. These just were tall enough and wide enough at the top that I looked like I had twigs for legs ( which is kind of true right now...)OH! the heartbreak. I really really wanted to keep these and just wait around to see if they will eventually look better once I gain more muscle and weight back, but the reality is that the top edge is just under my knee, so it is unlikely it will ever fit in a way that visually looks right. These would be great for someone with longer knee to ankle length and larger calves. The shaft of the boot from the bottom of the heel to the top edge in the back is 15 inches ( the top on the side of the boot is @1 1/2" taller). The calf width is 17 inches wide.

Fits true to size and I just love the way they look. They are a bit more grey than in the picture and I liked that- it was exactly what I was looking for.

I have always worn an 8 in borns but got them and they were really tight so swapping up an extra half size. I personally like the larger calf. Though it seems big over pants I think it will be cute with a skirt. They seem to scuff easy, but are nice leather so easy to condition. Looking forward to getting the larger size soon.

Still, I took notice of these--the cutouts are gorgeous and unique, the grey with red color is striking and perfect for me, and the western styling is toned down somewhat (witness the almond toe and full-zip entry). One star off for overly accommodating calf size--they'd never work on slim-calved faux cowgirls. Otherwise, perfect. Yee-haw.
