They are so tall that they are much higher than the calf, and so the leg opening gaps enormously. I even tucked in my pencil jeans, and it looked as if I were wearing fireman's boots, there was such a huge gap in the back. Had to return. I bought the size 11 and they fit just fine, other than in the shaft. They are kind of on the plain side. I have a lot of Born shoes and love this brand, usually.

I wear an 8.5-9, and always order 9 in boots to accommodate thick socks when it gets colder out. The size in the foot is perfect, but the calves are definitely more tight than I prefer. Since I can still zip them up over skinny jeans, I'm sure they'll stretch slightly with increasing wear. To get the quality of Born boots at such a steal of a price is awesome!
