I purchased a size 9, which was long enough and wide enough. My problem was in the toe region of the shoe, which seemed too low or shallow, which was uncomfortable for my toes, a few of which are hammer toes. Too bad, I had to return them - otherwise I would have kept them.

I had very high hopes for this German built shoe as I am looking for a wide toe box with enough comfort to see miles of sightseeing throughout Europe. Out of the box, it is apparent that these are very well made shoes. The stitching is excellent quality, and the strap with the metallic contrast is very nice. The insole is supportive and comfortable. So....what's the problem? It seemed that the sole was like a molded piece of plastic, rather than a flexible Vibram type sole. Not sure what I was expecting as this is my first experience with Romika, but sadly, I am sending these back due to the clunk-y factor with the rigid sole.

I ended up sending them back when common sense returned as I knew I couldn't stretch them enough. I tracked down a larger size and haven't received it yet.

I ordered one size smaller than my usual size, the regular size would work ok with thicker socks.
