They were comfortable the first time I wore them. No breaking in period. They do run narrow, which is great for my feet. I often have trouble finding slip on shoes that fit my feet and don't slip at the heel. These shoes are great for me! Wonderful shoe for the price. Never purchased Josef Seibel shoes before, but I will be looking for them in the future. Great buy!....STP seems to have the best prices.

I ordered a larger size, but was too long. I decided to keep the smaller size because it is such a nice shoe. I am diligently working on stretching them out. I have been purchasing this brand since the 1990s. Absolutely love every JS shoe I purchased. Always purchased the same size for years. The brown color is very nice. The soles are great. The heel size is comfortable. Because they are very snug, I had to buy a shoe horn to slip my foot in.

The heel is a tiny bit higher than the picture portrays, but the biggest issue is the narrowness of the show. I wear a regular width in my other Josef Seibels, so I bought my usual size and usual width. Problem is part of the sole of this shoe comes up a little bit onto the side of the shoe, right where the widest part of your foot is. I think they will stretch a big, but I wouldn't recommend them if you have a very wide foot. They are also very difficult to get on without a shoehorn because of only have elastic and no real buckle. Still, they were a fantastic price and are very cute shoes if you have a narrow foot!

I esp like the interior elastic straps that hold you into the shoe but don't show. The hand stitched specials make this European made (mine made in Bulgaria) a special shoe at any price but esp one with the STP discount! Easy to wear right out of the box - no breaking in required. The BROWN I got is esp beautiful I think.
