5.0 out of 5 stars. Smith Optics Variance

This is a well constructed helmet. It fits well and has many convenient features. It is well vented and the vents are easily operated even with a gloved hand. The lining is comfortable as well as the ear covers which are removable. The Boa system makes adjusting the helmet simple. A great product.

Very pleased with the helmet. Super adjustable, comfortable and vents well. I can wear this on backcountry ascents and not get too hot.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect Smith Fit

This is my third Smith helmet, and I love the fit better than any of the others I own. It is a bit lower profile than my others, so my melon doesn't look quite so huge. In fact, it probably fits better because it IS lower profile. (I am a woman, and this is a unisex helmet.) Seems to cover my ears a bit better than my other two. Integrates with Zeal and Oakley goggles.

Fit, looks, quality- all there. Absolutely tops my Giro Montane and Bern helmets.

Tried a few different helmets on last ski season and was consistently drawn to the variance. However I didn't want to pay full price. Scored a good deal on stp & couldn't be happier. Fits great, comfy, and looks good. Hopefully I never have to test it's impact handling, but I feel confident with buying Smith that'll be fine.
