I don't have a regular caffeine intake so one tablet of Nuun Energy really pumps me up. I have been an amateur runner for 10 years. I know that I'll never be an elite runner, but at 36 years old I smashed my 10K PR by almost 2 minutes running 43:09 (7:01/mile avg). All I did was mix one Nuun Energy tablet with 16 oz of water. I swigged half of it about 20 minutes before the race and sipped the other half between miles 3-5. This all happened yesterday in a shadow run of the Bolder Boulder 10K at Bagram Air Field (at 4895' elevation) and my previous PR was in Maple Valley, WA (at 343' elevation).
For a year now I have been using Nuun tablets for hydration during three Ragnar Relays, one triathlon, and two 10Ks and some of the training for the aforementioned events. I love the taste - not too sweet like that Alligator drink (as my cute 3 year-old daughter likes to say). These Nuun Energy tablets are new to me this year and I am loving them. Lime is my favorite flavor. -
