Velcro closures can snug the waist fit. Although a snug fit, they are also really flexible. I got a size 40, and I'm 5'8" and 135 lbs. I was nervous that they might be too small but worked beautifully. I probably could have gone up one size and still had a good fit. They've been on the slopes, and I was pleased with their performance and attractiveness.

The stretch is perfect and the lining feels like it will keep me warm on the cold New England slopes this year. I'm 5'6", 135 lbs. I ordered both the 8 (38) and 10 (40) not knowing which would fit better. They both fit well, especially with the adjustable waist, but I went with the size 40 so I could have room for an extra thick base layer and if I gain a little weight over the years. I can't wait to try these out on the mountain!

I am 5'7" and 140 lbs, athletic and the 38 fit well. However, there was more insulation in the pant than I needed, so I returned them. I think the pant would be great for very cold ski days and they look great. If you are looking for an nicely fitted, not too bulky, insulated pant, these pants would be perfect.

Sure enough, STP was right about ordering one size up. . . I would usually wear a 38 but ordered the 40 as they suggested, and the 40 fits just right. I love the 4-way stretch of the Mountain Force products. The quality of the pants and jacket I ordered are unlike any I've ever seen (last year, I skied in an Arctery'x jacket and pants). I could never afford an ultra high-end product like this if it wasn't for STP's fantastic pricing. Super excited for the winter season to begin!
