5.0 out of 5 stars. handsome, versatile, indispensableVerified Buyer Reviewed by quintana roo from california on Thursday, July 9, 2015I like everything about this jacket... it's comfortable, more presentable than regular fleece, is wearing very well, comes in great, soft, rich colors, has good pockets, a sturdy zipper, inoffensive logo embroidery... I wear it constantly. My absolute favorite ever.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Very lightweightVerified Buyer Reviewed by Hannah from Vermont on Monday, June 29, 2015This jacket is a nice design and beautiful color but it really is lightweight. The fleece is much thinner than many other jackets like this. It would be great for a summer layer but I'd go for something heavier for "cold days on the trail."

4.0 out of 5 stars. Jack Wolfskin Caribou Asylum Fleece Jacket (For Women)Verified Buyer Reviewed by penguinbrat from MA on Monday, May 11, 2015This jacket is lighter weight than my Patagonia Better Sweater. Warm and dressier than a regular fleece jacket. I'm 5ft 110lbs and the xs fits well.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Beautiful jacket!Reviewed by Campchick from Prescott AZ on Wednesday, April 1, 2015I ordered this jacket and it is beautiful! Thick fabric but soft and cozy. Very attractive. Unfortunately I ordered a large (I usually wear an 8-10) and it was huge. Had to return but my size was sold out. (sniff)

5.0 out of 5 stars. Well madeReviewed by Anonymous from Florida on Thursday, February 12, 2015I would call this a medium, not light-weight jacket, very warm. Very high quality and construction, good zipper. The outside is sweater like knitted fabric and the inside fleece. Nice sleek fit.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Unflatteringly short and boxy.Reviewed by Grad Student on a Budget from Cambridge, UK on Monday, February 2, 2015I wanted to love this jacket, but I found it only okay. It was my least favorite sweater fleece out of a number that I ordered from STP. For reference, I am an hourglassy smallish-medium size: broad-shouldered, 5'5", 34C bust, 27" waist, and 38.5"hips. I bought a small (in the peppermint color) and a medium (in the red color). Here is my take on this:
PROS: I love the fabric - it's very similar to other sweater fleeces I've tried on from Outdoor Research, Avalanche, Lowe Alpine, etc. It has the softness and easy care of a fleece, but a bit of a more polished look. The zipper on this seemed sturdy. The collar fit well rather than being too short (Outdoor Research, I'm looking at you!).
CONS: I found the fit to be too short (see my pics). I am average height, and have a slightly longer than average torso, and I found this to be quite short-waisted. This was the biggest deal-breaker for me. The arms were also significantly too long (and my arms are average length), and there were no thumbholes so the sleeves hung over my hands to knuckle-length. I also found the fit to be unflatteringly boxy: the lack of raglan sleeves emphasized the broadness of my shoulders, and the jacket didn't have too much waist definition. I also wasn't particularly enthused about the colors: both the peppermint green and the red seemed dull and washed out (and the red was really a very orange-red: I am having difficulty imagining which complexions it would suit - perhaps very dark skin). In contrast, I found the Outdoor Research Longhouse fleece and the Lowe Alpine Gemini fleece to have much more flattering cuts - longer and more hourglassy). I usually wear a small, and the small of this fit me well, but it was several inches too short, and with very little waist definition. The medium was a bit better in length but the sleeves were way too long and the fit was too baggy. I am returning both the small and the medium. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome fleeceReviewed by Mdrenna from Tennessee on Wednesday, November 19, 2014I got this jacket in the brown and love it. It has a feminine cut and is not bulky while still being warm. I like the fact that the exterior is more of a tight sweater knit and the interior is fleece. I feel this gives the jacket a more polished look. I am 5'1" and about 100th and got the small which is perfect. I will most likely get another in a different color

5.0 out of 5 stars. The fit is true to sizeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Melriver from Texas on Tuesday, November 18, 2014and just a tiny bit on the slim cut side. I like it because I don't feel like an abominable snowman wearing it and since the material is tightly woven, it is still warm but not heavy. The purple and pink is really nice combination. I am a Jack Wolfskin fan from many years ago and was pleased to find that the quality is still really high in this brand.

5.0 out of 5 stars. OutstandingReviewed by Pam the biker from Wisconsin on Wednesday, November 5, 2014I bought this in purple and then bought the red(it is not a bright red). LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! I live in Columbia fleece and this is a refreshing change. I bit more stylish. Bought the large. I am 5'8 and wear a size 10 pant and have long arms. Plenty long in the arms.
