Last weekend I hiked a 14er here in Colorado in them and they performed splendidly. The stretch in them makes it easy to boulder in and apparently the butt is pretty flattering on them. Great pants and awesome deal!

They're a flattering skinny fit and a soft, somewhat stretchy, not-too thin, not-too thick fabric. The side pockets are big enough to completely fit my smartphone too, which is awesome.I bought these on sale at Amazon at first in the dark shale color, but I loved them so much that when these went on sale here at STP, I had to grab them in the other colors while I could.
Highly recommend. They make your legs look really good. -

Definitely skinny through the calves, but not too tight. The placement of the hip pockets -- you can see on the model -- is right on the side seams, so they sort of stick out. I don't mind it, but it might bother some folks.
