Smaller in size, easier to set up. Setup is a snap but remember to use new batteries. I was about ready to return after several attempts to set up failed. It turns out batteries I used in the transmitter were not powerful enough to send signals that could be received by the indoor receiver. There was no low battery notice and it was only after several attempts to set up that I decided to use another set of batteries in the sending unit. Unit is smaller than previous units with smaller numerals.

The first is that the directions for set up are extremely difficult to follow, and the second is that the wireless outside monitor doesn't work. The indoor hygrometer appears to be highly inaccurate as well. Not recommended.

The station was simple to set up and get started. Temperatures and humidity levels appear to be fairly accurate. For the price you probably can't go wrong.
I've had other La Cross older products and they were sometimes a pain to set up, but as I stated earlier, this one was a breeze to set up with the updated technology. -
