Only concern is that the handle doesn't retract easily and I had to push the side button in by hand some of the time to get it to go in.

I have always used Travelpro and have never been disappointed--until now. Sure this bag looks great and it would be easy to spot on a conveyor (for those who check bags anymore), but it will never hold up to the rigors of frequent use. The handles are fabric and are merely sewn on. The bottom handle, which on just about every bag I have ever owned has been heavy plastic and been a part of the frame itself, is nothing more than a fabric handle sewn on to the bottom of the bag. I suspect it would not last more than two or three trips going through airport bag chunkers, users, and abusers. One of the first things I do when I get a new rollerboard is replace the wheels with roller blade wheels. I'm not sure you can even replace these. It appears as though they are permanently attached which does not bode well for folks who drag bags, loaded bags, around through parking lots, pot holes, and the like.
Great looks. Poor quality. For the infrequent user or for someone who does not fly this would be great. Heavy, frequent flyers should look to other bags in the Travelpro collection. -

I liked the lightness, so I should have no problem stashing it in an overhead bin, even when it's full. This time was a car trip. I was impressed with how much I could fit in it and still have room for souvenirs. The 3 outside pockets are very useful and hold a lot, too. It passed this trip with flying colors, so I'm looking forward to putting it through more in the near future. A very well-made product at a good value!

My grandson will get the old one. I am 80 years old and the airlines with all their baggage fees require me to carry on a larger bag, so lighter is better. My wife and I have traveled all over the world with Travelpro--it is the best.
