The narrow width was a welcome find. The storage tray is sturdy and attractive and offers perfect options for a variety of sizes. I ordered two of them (having measured my drawer to be sure they would fit-actually if they hadn't I would have cut off to fit). My drawer has been transformed from a chaotic rubble to an easily visible and accessible knife storage area. I have my nearly 3 dozen knives of all sorts happily settled (short-paring and cheese knives on the upper layer, carving, bread and so forth on the lower, with ancestral antler handled carving set nestled between the two trays). There's a bit of space at the front of the drawer for odd shapes like cheese planes.

Couldn't believe the weight of this thing when it arrived. I ordered 3....didn't expect them to be so big (Ishould have measured using the specs). The quality is top notch. Am quite pleased. Depending on the size and style of your knives, they will fit a little differently....but how nice to just open a drawer and grab what you need without any fumbling around....much safer!

Also I like this because it can stay in the drawer, not on the counter - like a block or the large tray I had did - and the knives will not get dusty.
Also it has decent size slots for knives and, they may or may not be slots for knives as well, also has smaller slots in between the decent size slots for knives
So it can take a lot of knives, small paring knives in the smaller slots and the large knives in the large slots
Also due to its lack of depth, the knives tangs and blades sit securely in it and do not interfere with closing of the drawer
*****I would have given it 5 stars but I have only had it for about 10 days and I have not used it enough yet to decide whether it warrants five stars. -

The knife block was just too bulky for our counter space. We had already been keeping knives n a drawer but they all had matching shields for the blades.
This tray version is perfect. The knife sharpening rod fits perfectly in the gap in the middle.
The best way to keep knives in our opinion. -

My knives were a jumble in my cabinet drawer until I put this knife storage to use. It is great. It doesn't have the Wusthof stamp on the side, but it is identical to those that do have the stamp. It fits up to 14 knives easily and handily.

Holds a lot of knives. Only drawback is too small for larger knives like butcher knife, but all the rest fit. I have an older home so I was worried it wouldn't fit the older sized drawers, but knife holder fit perfectly.
