5.0 out of 5 stars. Lives up to the reputationReviewed by Anonymous from Western NY on Tuesday, December 8, 2015These boots are fantastic. Was using non-insulated work boots before and needed something waterproof and warm. I've been using them for hunting for a few months now and they're absolutely excellent for sitting in a stand, walking around, walking through shallow water, brush, ice, snow, etc. I can't say enough about how comfortable, lightweight, well-made, and well-fitting these are.
Suggestions: wear smart wool socks when it's below 30 if you're going to be sitting in a stand. Also, try them on and walk around a couple times when you first get them. I took them out of the box and my heart sank at first - they looked and (when I first put them on) felt gigantic. I tried them on again, though, and when I laced them correctly and adjusted the feel, they're perfect.
Also, STP is amazing and gives you a pre-paid return shipping label with your order! So, returns are free and easy. You can't lose. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. 2E width runs too narrowVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Pennsylvania on Thursday, November 19, 2015I normally wear a 8.5 2E but these were still too tight with cotton socks - could never wear with heavy hunting socks. Otherwise they are great boots for the price and I am disappointed that I had to return them for fit.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Worth ItVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Upstate, NY on Friday, December 5, 2014As always Irish Setter boots is the way to go. I have 3 pairs of hunting boots now, un-insulated for spring/summer, and 1000/1600 g boots for winter. All 3 are Irish Setters. I usually take the medium width, these were only available in wide. I use a pair of thick socks and fit is good. I use these boots for long sits in 0-20 degree weather. If the wind is really blowing and temps get down in the single digits I do put foot warmers in, but I'm older and have steel in my ankle so take that for what it's worth. If I'm up walking around in any temp these boots are too warm.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Dale from michigan on Wednesday, December 3, 2014What can i say, they are Irish setters. These boots are well constructed, warm, and waterproof. Built for the serious outdoors guy, I work as a well driller in michigan and will not buy any other boot brand. Boot true to size

5.0 out of 5 stars. True to size. warmReviewed by Hcore hunter from Pennsylvania on Tuesday, December 2, 2014What can I say, they work like insulated hunting boots are supposed to work. They offer great ankle support yet are easy to walk in, have excellent traction, and are warm. I usually wear 10.5 regular work boots and hiking boots, (I own Asolo, Redwing, and Georgia, boots to name a few) so I purchase a 10.5 2E which is perfect because I like to wear really thick socks plus put toe warmers in my boots so I need a little extra room and these are the perfect size for that. I haven't been through too much water with them to know what their waterproof level is, but my Dad wore them and was walking through mud and wet grass for about half a day and they stayed bone dry, so they seem to have a high level of waterproofability. I used to have problems with cold feet and will have problems unless I pay close attention to several details. First of all, feet sweat very quickly and wet feet are cold feet so I wear a thin pair of wool liner socks while walking to my my stand regardless of how cold it is outside. Once I get to my stand if I haven't sweated much I'll put on a think pair of socks over top the thin pair, put a foot warmer in my shoes, and I'm set for a day of warm feet. If I have sweated then I put on another pair of thin wool socks then the thick pair and put the wet pair in a ziplock bag so the deer don't smell them. The other important detail is to make sure the boots aren't too tight. Tight boots are just bad! First of all they compress the insulation which greatly reduces the R value of the insulation in the boots and socks, and secondly they cut off lifegiving and toewarming blood circulation. Follow these tips and you are guaranteed to have warmer feet. Good luck

5.0 out of 5 stars. The Best !Verified Buyer Reviewed by SportsmanNH from New Hampshire on Saturday, November 22, 2014
Just got back today from northern maine hunting for a week . Wore these boots every day sitting in a treestand
Highest temp all week was 38 degrees and lowest was 9 degrees. All I wore was cheapo cotton crew socks
and my feet never got even the slightest bit cold. These are terrific boots.
I weighed these boots on an accurate hanging scale. My size is 13W. They weighed 5.2 lbs. Way less than advertized which is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars. ComfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Louisville KY on Thursday, November 20, 2014I was finally impressed with a boot that is comfortable and warm but be sure to wear wicking socks beneath your wool or other socks, you'll need them
