The tread is good, the slipper is very plush and comfortable, and the slipper holds its form when wearing. I live in Colorado and wear these slippers all the time during the winter.

So I retuned the slippers and got nailed with a $6.95 Return Fee. REALLY? I payed for shipping too. That piece of information was never notified to me as I was making my purchase. WILL NEVER PURCHASE AGAIN. I also called customer service and no help what so ever either! So now they have my slippers and $10 of my money, while they can go and re-sale the item to someone else! Lost my business forever!

My PERFECT house shoes - ACORN!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Robin from Coastal Carolinas on Wednesday, January 20, 2016I continue to buy Acorn slippers for the house, but have been known to arrive at the post office, or the grocers, and look down to see that my Acorns are still on my feet. No one notices as they aren't those horrid fake fur nasties that even the dog won't chew.
My suggestion is to buy multiples of styles and colors when Sierra has them because they seem to sell out quickly in the popular sizes. I usually purchase the fabric styles, which wash wonderfully; I drop them in the machine in cold water and regular detergent, then shape and stuff with paper before setting in the sun to dry. Perfect every time...take my advice and buy a dozen! -

The only thing between the bottom of my foot and rubber sole is a thin piece of cloth. Feels like I'm walking pair foot. May have to put these away until Summer, because they certainly are not made for the Winter.

Really awful chemical smell that I cannot get rid of.Reviewed by Anonymous from NJ on Saturday, December 5, 2015I've had tons of these slippers, but the last lot of 2 pairs I ordered have a chemical smell you can sense from 3 feet away. That strong. I've put them thru like 10 cycles of the washer and still cannot get rid of the odor. It's awful and I doubt it's healthy. It smells like it's from the sole. You really should not buy these unless you like pesticides and VOCs. Very disappointed.

The sole is perfect for occasional outside trips to the mailbox when you don't want to change shoes. However, the seams on the sides are very uncomfortable for me. Perhaps this is because I have a wider foot and these are a medium width, but I won't order another slipper made by Acorn.

I live in MN so I need warm, comfy slippers that'll last. Better priced at Sierra than on Amazon. I like that there is a back to these slippers, so my heels stay warm, too. True to size. I wear a size 9, and the 9/10 size fits snug so my feet feel warm but not too snug that they're uncomfortable. This is my 2nd pair of Acorn slippers, don't think I'll ever buy another brand.
