3.0 out of 5 stars. Good productVerified Buyer Reviewed by Daniel from Ohio on Friday, September 25, 2015Was a fantastic product just the size ran smaller than most jackets. I kept it and will give it to someone because I was impressed with the quality.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Seems nicely made but has the "hunter fit"Verified Buyer Reviewed by PJ from South Carolina on Tuesday, August 11, 2015Material and craftsmanship are very good. Quiet material, well placed pockets and zips. But the fit is short and stocky. I'm 5'8" and 185# so not exactly tall and lean but this jacket was short in the arms and body and like a parachute through the mid region. If it fit, it would be a great jacket but I really don't like the "hunter fit" that a lot of hunting gear is cut to.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Coat performance reviewReviewed by Keith from ID/MT/ND/CO/NV on Friday, November 7, 2014Used frequently on all my hunting trips. Coat keeps you warm and dry in wet weather and real good for wind. You will sweat when hiking around but will stay warm when sitting glassing or just taking a break. Coat is good for teens up to about 50 degrees. You need a light/med fleece sweatshirt underneath in the lower temps. Would not use above 50 as you will sweat too much. Overall good all round hunting coat. I mainly use this coat as it performs well, is quiet, and is good clothing for rough use. Stands up to back country hunting, packing out meat, overall one of the best all round hunting coats.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Pretty good. Made in China thoughVerified Buyer Reviewed by scrappyted from Lynden, WA on Friday, October 24, 2014Size ordered: L
Me: 6'-1" & 175lbs
I've been looking for a early season jacket for the past couple years and they always have short sleeves and are designed for big bellies. Well, not to big of surprise the sleeves just reach my wrist and it's cut for fat guys. On the good side though... it's quite, waterproof(tested that), and the design of the hood, pockets etc. are all well thought out.
It will do the job until I wear it out and I'm thinking that will take a while. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Good Quality Don't Know the Warmth Yet.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Go Long from Missouri on Tuesday, October 21, 2014The features on the jacket are great! Double magnets for the pockets (one holds it closed, one holds it open), sturdy zippers with pull cords, soft high quality material, a hide-away hood, etc. But I don't know how warm this jacket is. Our hunting has been mild so far so the jacket hasn't been put to any cold temperature test.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Hell of a brand.Reviewed by Andy from Titusville PA. on Wednesday, August 6, 2014Listen. If you want a silent, warm, waterproof, light, durable brand that is made in the USA you can count on Rivers West. I personally own the Dakota Jacket with the outlaw pant. Both I have owned for four years and both I have put through hell in the Pennsylvania back country. Now this includes stomping red brush, running swamp lands, navigating thorny locust patches, sledding, camping, hunting, fishing.....blah blah blah. It still keeps me 100% dry and warm with no holes. Give it a try, it's good [...].
