It takes away from the look of the shoe. They are true to size and comfortable. The price was awesome.

Definitely not made for running / jogging. I like the retro styling a bit better than the new balance version of this shoe type I've had in the past, but the New Balance seems to be a little better quality in manufacturing than this.
