4.0 out of 5 stars. beautiful bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by cindy walks alot from Pennsylvania on Thursday, July 9, 2015These boots were made well + the most beautiful boots I've ever seen in nearly 50 years of boot shopping! Unfortunately, one size was too big + a smaller size too small. Had to return them but cried doing so.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Mismatched 2ndsReviewed by Average foot from TX on Thursday, June 4, 2015Each individual boot was beautiful in the misty grey. I ordered a pair of black and a pair of the misty grey.
1. Black just looked cheap in quality. Leather was stiff and lacked richness. Note: I love breaking in and working on leather, but these just looked like kids' $40 john Deere boots.
2. Misty grey was just flat out gorgeous. However, the pair I received was terribly mismatched. One boot had rough beautiful texture and a desirable 'full grain' look while the other was perfectly smooth. They did not even look like they belonged in a pair.
3. I loved the color so much that I ordered another pair.
4. Second pair arrived before I returned the first pair and had the same problem. All 4 individual boots were radically different, and I couldn't make a matched pair at all. They were mismatched not only in the leather, but also with the distressing on the visible parts of the soles just below the stitching.
:::These really need to be labeled as seconds. Or thirds, even.
If you get a matching pair, good for you! The grey is absolutely beautiful.
I have somewhat narrow feet and these fit true to size. I'd size up 1/2 to a full size larger for wide feet.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Beautiful, order a 1/2 or full size up!Reviewed by Laura (hiker/yogi) from Seattle, WA on Tuesday, May 19, 2015I am always a 7 but after reading the reviews I ordered a 7.5. I am wearing them around the house with very thin socks to get them worn in a bit and after an hour they seem to fit way better than they did at the beginning (I could barely get them on at first). They are sooooo beautiful though and extremely well made. Definitely worth ordering and with Sierra's wonderful shipping you can always return and try again if they don't fit.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Awsome boots, but run smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Indiana on Sunday, March 1, 2015I bought these boots for my wife and they are awesome. However; it appears that they run at least a half size and possibly a full size small. They also run narrow for a medium, my wife normally wears an 81/2 and that was the size I bought (that was the only size in stock that was close to here size). She could not even get her foot into them and I would guess that she would need a 9 or 91/2. Too bad because they are really awesome looking boots.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by never squint from Kentucky on Wednesday, January 28, 2015Very comfortable. Look great. Normally wear 7 but ordered the 7.5 and they fit perfectly. These are a very classic yet rustic design. The wrap around sole completes the boot

3.0 out of 5 stars. Ariat Texas Rose BootsReviewed by Texashorsewoman from Texas on Thursday, December 25, 2014I wept when I had to send these absolutely gorgeous boots back. Tried my regular size and no way at all to get them on. I then ordered a 1/2 size larger and was able to get them on. They seem to be a little narrow, but the deal-breaker was the instep. I don't think I have an unusually high instep, but these were painful. I considered wearing them around the house and oiling them up to see if I could stretch them, but realized it was futile to try to wear something that tight. If you have narrow feet and a low instep you might want to give these beauties a try. For looks alone they definitely would get 5 stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Great to look at but narrowReviewed by Agate Blue from Nor cal on Saturday, December 20, 2014After reading the other reviews I hesitantly ordered my regular size. In Ariat Terrains I wear a 1/2 size smaller. The boots are indeed a 7 1/2. Traditional cowboy boots are hard to pull on and off but you know they fit when your heel "pops" in. That said, the width of the pair of boots I received is A or even AA. Also, the instep will not accommodate a foot with a high instep. Ariat revolutionized riding footwear with the concept that boots could be comfortable right out of the box. These do not live up to that reputation. I do believe they would break-in. One last observation; The soles are leather. I'm sending mine back.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Ariat Texas Rose BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Western MA hiker from MA on Wednesday, October 22, 2014These are beautiful...deep blackish walnut....so comfortable...dressy..too nice to ride my horse in...the bottom is slick though...good for dancing because there is no tread. Runs 1/2 size small. I usually wear a 81/2 and ordered a nine...fit perfectly. My college age daughter wants to steal them from me.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Beautiful but...Verified Buyer Reviewed by SierraGirl from New Mexico on Monday, October 20, 2014I love Ariat products, and these boots looked great online. I ordered them and they looked great in person....until I tried to put them on. VERY snug through the arch on one foot, and I couldn't get my other foot in the boot at all. If I can't wear them, I'm not keeping them -- they are on their way back. I have high arches, and there was just no way these were going to work. If you have low arches and skinny feet, these are the boots for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Takes a second tryReviewed by Jacksmom from Nevada on Friday, August 29, 2014Ok here is the scoop. I wear a 71/2 in ariat boots. With that said these run small. I couldn't even get my foot down the shaft and into the boot in a 71/2. I ordered another pair to see if it would work and no the 71/2 still didn't work. I did also order an 8 and yippie they fit. The toe extends out a bit like in regular cowboy boots. However so far everything feels good in the heel and the toe. So order a 1/2 size up and they should fit fine. The guy at the Sierra store suggested these maybe european sizing so it is off a bit with the conversion. Don't know if thats true but it worked. The boots are gorgeous and match an american west bag I have. Thanks again Sierra Trading Post. Hope this helps other customers.
