5.0 out of 5 stars. Great value, great performerVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from N. Colorado on Tuesday, September 29, 2015Bought one for my Boy Scout son. After 3 camp outs, bought another for myself. Packs smaller and lighter than my solo backpack tent since it has no dedicated poles. Roomy & easy to set up. Used it above tree line on a windy night in WY and it was more sturdy & wind resistant than I expected. Have not been out in rain to test the single layer integrated roof & fly.

5.0 out of 5 stars. roomy and light and waterproofReviewed by Anonymous from SW NH on Monday, August 3, 2015I used this on a 4 day trip with my son and 2 dogs. He was in his hammock with a fly over it and I was in this with the 2 dogs.
Yes there is a condensation problem when you don't have a cross breeze, they really should have an over hang over the door and a screened vent at the top of the door similar to how the rear is configured, I'm going to do something about that. However if there is any kind of breeze the condensation problem isn't so bad.
One night a real storm brewed up with sideways rain such that my son started getting wet under his fly so he came in the tent with me, plenty of room for all of us and some minor leakage at the door.
I was very impressed at it was POURING and blowing hard!
Overall construction was very nice, reflective guy lines pre attached, nice stakes but a little small, I have since swapped in some larger lightweight stakes for the primary guy lines.
I can't imagine how someone stuck a trekking pole through the tent as it's reinforced nicely, unless they didn't use a rubber cap.
All it needs is an integrated vestibule and ventilation in the door. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. major condensation problemVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Sn Diego, CA on Monday, July 27, 2015This is a very light tent, easy to put up and very roomy however, I used this tent for just myself and a lot of condensation builds on the inside overnight, them in the morning it all drips inside onto your clothes and sleeping bag.
. I guess it is because it is a single layer and the moisture has no place to go. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Keeping it simple.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from North East USA on Monday, May 25, 2015Great single wall tent w/lots of space and ample ventilation. Big Agnes designed this with the right geometry, without giving up weight and and comfort. They could have embellished the tent in certain areas, but any added cloth is added weight. Keep it simple ! The Pioneer 2 sets up fast and sturdy. I just bought the tent and was caught in a 40 mph. storm the 1st night out, with a happy ending.

5.0 out of 5 stars. nice lightweight tentVerified Buyer Reviewed by bill from folsom, ca on Wednesday, May 13, 2015does not come with poles, so use your walking poles for supports. these can go outside the tent rather than the interior. this is important see video link for how to set up, it is the only decent video of the tent i could find. i think the tent has plenty of ventilation, but i live in a dry part of the world. it is ROOMY!
i will be using this tent all summer.

4.0 out of 5 stars. great light tentReviewed by Andrew H from California on Thursday, April 9, 2015I am super impressed with this tent. It gives an extraordinary amount of room for its weight, and allows even a tall guy like me to sit up straight when inside. While the single wall design gives a slight problem with condensation, mine held up beautifully through a 2-day rain storm without letting any water inside. In addition, I was impressed with the included guy lines and tensioners, as well as decent stakes. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it requires a large number of guy lines to work well, which makes deploying it a little hard on rocky terrain.
