5.0 out of 5 stars. ComfyVerified Buyer Reviewed by TarHeel from North Carolina on Wednesday, August 10, 2016Socks are not just socks. These are the most comfortablest hiking socks I ever had. I hadn't realized there IS a difference in a good pair of socks. I broke these in hiking in the Smokey Mountains a few days ago. I wish I had purchased several more and hope I still can.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Can't beat SmartWoolVerified Buyer Reviewed by Cabbie from Gulf Coast on Tuesday, August 9, 2016Loving the temperature regulation of wool - easily goes from warm to cold with no sweat - and if you do sweat, it still works as cushion and temp regulator and mitigates odor.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great socksVerified Buyer Reviewed by MtnHiker from Bishop, Ca on Tuesday, February 16, 2016I have been wearing these socks for years for daily runs with my dogs and all day hiking. Love them. There is a good amount of padding and they hold up pretty well considering how much wear they get. I have many pairs on hand at all times.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great SocksVerified Buyer Reviewed by Practigal from 48th State on Tuesday, December 22, 2015At some point, one realizes that quality underwear and socks make a difference. We become willing to pay the additional cost. My journey with socks ended with SmartWool. Besides being great quality, they come in SIZES. Gee, what a concept that those of us who wear size 11 shoes should not be wearing the same socks as those wearing size 6. Just buy mens socks? Come over here and let me slap you. It doesn't work that way. Women's feet are shaped differently (narrower and the ball of the foot is further forward for the same length as our toes tend to be shorter for the same size foot so the break is in a different place) so the whole unisex thing is just a copout by companies. Thank you STP for making it possible for me to indulge in high quality things for less!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good enough but why SmartwoolVerified Buyer Reviewed by Min from Atlanta on Saturday, October 10, 2015I think Smartwool is playing a double game here. On one side they want to maintain loyalty and charge a premium for the brand.
But on the other side these are simply rebranded People Socks socks that you can find for cheap on Amazon.
So the socks are excellent but do yourself a favor and purchase them directly from the manufacturer People Socks.
People Socks as far as I know is a 100% American brand, NY based company, unlike Smartwool where half the items are made overseas in questionnable countries. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Favorite hiking socks of all timeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Portland, Oregon on Friday, September 4, 2015I love these socks! I wore them breaking in new hiking boots on a 27 mile backpacking trip in the Diamond Peak Wilderness. I didn't get any blisters! I attribute this 50% to the socks and 50% to the boots. The socks are nice and cushy and true to being wool, they are essentially odor resistant and fast drying. I own a few pairs of them and would highly recommend them to anyone.
