I'm super picky about my glasses. Most of my fishing is sight fishing for dark fish in dark water and low light conditions. My glasses are more important than what weight rod I'm using or fly I'm throwing. I've got polarized glasses from other leading brands in the industry, and for straight fishing, these blow them away in the ability to pick up fish and cut thru low-light glare and haze.

The grand cats are a little heavy and chunky though, and don't really have what I would call a super sporty (read, they're not glued to your head) fit. But, for the drift boat, wading and everyday fishing they're great. I wouldn't plan to run a marathon in them, and would add in a glasses keeper if you're always leaning over the side of the boat.

The build quality is there too, they really feel substantial and well finished.

I can't wait to take these out on the open water. The glasses over all are wide at 5.25 inches, but still a bit narrow on my wide face. Still, I plan on keeping these for trips to the large lakes and open oceans. They don't slide around or feel like they will ever accidentally get knocked off my face when I'm not being careful.

My lady doesn't like white sunglasses, but I don't care what she thinks about these. I won't be wearing these around town on a daily basis. They serve a purpose, serve it well, and will hold up to lots of wear and abuse.

I've had friends recommend Costa sunglasses to me for years. I finally broke down and bought a pair and I'm in love! I've always worn polarized lenses like these and highly recommend them. I guess they are designed for fishing but I use them to hike, bike, ski and walk my dog. I love the retro, old skool Vuarnet/Carrera look of this particular pair. You'll love them too. Cheers.

Recently took these glasses on an scuba trip to Cozumel and they performed flawlessly. It was great to have glass lenses I could wipe clean with whatever cloth or shirt I had handy instead of worrying about using a microfiber cloth on more delicate polycarbonate lenses. Nice comfortable stainless spring hinges that can take the salt spray. All the boat captains had on Costas too and kept mentioning mine... must mean something!
