They are form-fitting but stretchy, so they are not constrictive. I ran 4 miles in them yesterday during a rain/snow storm and they seemed reasonably water resistant. I am 5'8" and ~130 lbs and the small fit me well, so I'd say it runs true to size. I give it a 4 instead of a 5 because the fabric is not quite as soft as I would have liked. Still, I bought these for function, and they will work.

If you're 5-6 or shorter, you might want to look for another design because it is 32", on a longer side compared to 31" for many other Lole pants (that is in medium size). I'm 5-6 and I like it. I can exercise in them or use them casually.

I love these pants.
Comfortable material against my sensitive skin.
Great fit.
Flattering / elegant cut.
They don't fall off when I am running, jumping, or doing yoga.
These pants definitely wick moisture away (even tried them in a heated yoga class (90 degrees).
They also kept me warm while hiking in the rain/snow. Not sure how.
Easy to care for.

My only issue is that the fabric is pretty thin, so if you have any cellulite issues, they will show through, I usually like a thicker pant to hide flaws. But these are so comfy I'll hold on to them for use in the house.
I normally wear a pant size 8 or 10 and Medium or Large. I got a medium in these pants and they fit great, maybe even a tad bit loose. -
