  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Size Up

These are some nice quality shorts, however seek a size chart online before ordering. A Size 8 (US 4) is a size 26 inch waist.

I really like the design of these, they are about 2 sizes small. I wear a size 4 in most all pants and shorts. According to the size chart their size 8 is U.S. Size 4. A review I read noted that they ran small. I bought the size 10 since that was the largest size left and they did fit just a little tight.
  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. Can't Just Toss These In The Laundry: CONTAINS PERMETHRIN
Reviewed by Between Sizes from Washington, DC on Thursday, October 1, 2015
I love these shorts, they fit well and have great features. Except: they are treated with permethrin, which means you can't just toss them into a load of wash. In particular, you shouldn't wash them with anything that will contact your moister parts - your undies, in other words. I just know that if I keep them there will be that one time that I forget and toss them in with a few unmentionables. I prefer not to take the risk.

Nowhere in the online description could I find a reference to permethrin. If it had been there, I would have been saved the disappointment and the hassle of having to send these back. Significant information fail, Sierra. Or should I say TJMaxx?
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. made well just didn't fit my body as well

the shorts I ordered were UK sized instead of US size so be careful and check the comparison to make sure you get the right ones ordered. the product is made well but the waist was too big for me. I think the european cut is smaller through the hips so when I got a size that fit my hips it was really big in the waist. Since i am wearing these hiking, it was fine for me. I will wear a belt with it.

About Craghoppers

The story behind Craghoppers jackets and apparel began in 1965 when a group of friends from Yorkshire, England started planning a trip to climb Mt. Everest. At the time, options for dependable, high-performance outerwear were pretty scant. Rather than settling for less than adequate gear, the friends decided to create their own, and the Craghoppers clothing company was born. Half a century later, Craghoppers jackets, pants, shorts and shirts are still helping people bag summits and stay comfortable on their adventures all across the globe. With features that range from lightweight, UV-resistant fabrics to Insect Shield® bug repellency, Craghoppers clothing is designed to get outdoors and go places.
